Anyone know the significance of the #2 in the trem cavity on this guitar? I've seen one other with a similar mark but have never been able to find any info.
There is a body date of 6/54. This #2 is addition to that. The guitar HQ guys have a picture of one with a #3 and I think I've see one other with a #1.
Yeah, I've always assumed they were doing some experimenting with different things. I thought it might be cool to know what exactly but I'm not sure that answer is out there anywhere.
