Max sent me an email today with a link to his 59 Burst Doumentary trailer. I asked if I could post a link to share with you guys. The trailer is very cool and contains clips of Max interviewing Slash, Billy Gibbon's, Rick Nielsen, Les Paul and a few other scoundrals that belong to this forum. :hmm

Hope you enjoy!

A bit focused on the dollar value angle wouldn't you say?

"An old guitar worth hundreds of thousands of dollars might be laying under a bed in your house right now.. or your closet or attic, or your parent's attic or your grandparent's attic.. Want to know more? Find out what this old guitar looks like and where to look for one. See the new film, "The 1959 Burst", coming soon. One trip to your attic and you could be driving a brand new Mercedes or even a Bentley !!! This is not a trick or a con. This is a simple fact."

I got that email from Max today too.
Last week Max told me for the first time about his upcoming 1959 burst film.
It looks to become very entertaining I think.

Yea REALLY focused on money money money money. Man that really turns me off.

This is what i have found though: if you want to get a documentary or anything on TV about collectibles, the producers of those shows always want to talk about MONEY. "what's it worth." That's all they ask.

I got this email about a reality show called, "The Great American Dream" or something like that. Basically it's some sort of new reality show where, if you win, they buy you a museum for your "crap". They wanted me to do a short video about my guitar collection for the show. I'm like, "hey, these don't need to be in a museum." They just didn't understand that. To me, it was like throwing gas on the fire.

But when i told them about my other goofy hobby, which made A LOT more sense for their show, then they got really interested. But again, the first thing they asked was, "how much is it worth?" When i told them, "not much", they lost a lot of interest. They're dirty little whores i tell ya.

Did you hear about the guy on NPR that was a baseball card collector since the 1930s? He's like 85 years old, and is selling his collection. The NPR guy that interviewed him could only talk about money. The guy kept saying, "look i don't care about the money, i would rather keep my baseball cards." But they wouldn't listen to him. Money money money. That's all they wanted to talk about. (The guy is selling his cards because punks keep breaking into his house trying to steal them.)
