I've just become the proud owner of this 1960 LP JNR. I love the stinger and wondered how rare they were on Les Paul's of this era? I haven't seen many myself. Thanks, Graham.

Does she have a slimmer neck like the standard's?
60's Juniors have the beefy neck profile like the 59's, not slim or skinny by any means.

I know that stingers were decorative on some higher end Gibsons, but what about Juniors? I suppose there's always the "hiding a defect in the wood" theory. It obviously took some time and effort to paint on a stinger, and Juniors were supposedly a "low cost" guitar.

Thanks. I paid just over $4000 which I think is not a bad price for an all original no issues guitar.
