Dad bought this new. Dakota Red with matching headstock. He dropped it and broke the neck 50ish years ago. He always liked black guitars, so he refinished it.

The worst part of the story? He had an early rosewood board Tele, traded it for a rosewood blonde Strat, then traded the Strat in on the Jaguar….

I’m thinking about digging into the neck and see if I can re-repair it, and refinish it back to nitrocellulose lacquer Dakota Red.
