greetings all ....I have a 1963 serial numbered Junior in my shop for a fret job & a set-up (see pics) .....it is a real McCoy from Kalamazoo, sadly & regrettably, as you see, someone not only removed the P90 from the bridge position & installed a humbucker, they also hacked in a humbucker up at the neck (VERY ugly under that neck pick-up bezel) .....my questions revolve around the electronics cavity and pots, as we all know a Junior in '63 came with 1 vol and 1 tone for the single P90, but I was believing that the guy who installed the humbuckers simply added 2 more pots to set it up like a Les Paul, but the cavity route & cover on back looks to be real form the factory ......???? ....so now I am asking myself could this Junior have been ordered with 2 P90s and 4 pots ?? and then the guy just made the P90 holes bigger to accommodate the humbuckers ?? .......this thread will end fast if someone tells me there is "no way" this Junior came form the factory with 2 pick-ups set up like a Les Paul .....thank you all for the assist, here's a link to the pics of the guitar:
