What are the guitars in those pics, please ?
A humbuckered 1968 LP and the other one is what ?
The one is the '68 that has been coverted into a '57 utilizing sticker PAFs and '58 wiring. The other one is an exact '59 Lemon-burst replica hand made by Steve Hague in 2018. If you don't know about Steve's work, it is amazing accurate. He also refurbished the Gold Top on my '68 and it's fabulous! (The previous owner had striped the original Gold Top to make it look like a Burst and screwed it up). As for the '59, Steve used old wood Honduran Mahogany, Brazilian on fretboard and stunning book matched tiger striped maple that has a 3-dimensional depth. All components are made just as the '59's specs, including the plastics & the inlays. To top it off, the pickups are made by ThroBac, a sponsor on this forum. As you know, they use some of the original Gibson winding machines and have every detail of the pups exactly reproduced as the originals. This guitar has been presented and compared to several original '59s for looks and sound and it's spot on. Tom Murphy himself handled it recently at the Nashville guitar show. He was very impressed with the workmanship and actually kindly requested that the guitar not be displayed at the show, especially since that's Gibson's backyard. That request was certainly honored!
