• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I was initially attracted to this guitar because it was so clean and nicely preserved. When I picked it up, I immediately noticed what felt like a '59 era neck thickness at the first fret, although the profile had slightly wider shoulders than I'm used to feeling on '59 Gibsons. I measured the neck thickness as soon as I got it home and found .87" at the first fret and 1.03" at the 12th!

It's got a nice full neck profile but is also a spectacular playing example of an early 70s Kalamazoo made goldtop. You can check out all the pictures and information here: 1971 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe goldtop (sold thank you!)
