• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I had a LP CUSTOM, fretless wonder, purchased in 1971..$592 @ Silver & Horlan in lower Manhattan, NYC...that guitar was stolen around 79 in Fayetteville, NC, the guitar was recovered by police at a local pawn shop….but the serial #s were completely scratched out down to bare wood. All things considered, it was the wrong guitar....dark and heavy sounding….and the frets were not conducive for what i was evolving into as a player…. i eventually I traded the guitar in ridiculously for a worthless guitar at a Seattle guitar shop in early 80s..i just could not cope with the theft and the serial #s…even years later….Since then i have played strats and finally kept a Don Grosh retro..which i love…I wonder who has that guitar now…the serial numbers were gouged out....In JULY 2020. I purchased an R8 from lance @ WILDWOOD..In all ways, I found this guitar stunningly superior to the LP CUSTOM..Sorry for the rant..It still upsets me…i have a large gun safe now..when i leave the premises..all guitars are locked up no exceptions. i just wonder where it is.
