The internal structure of Greco's SA and Tokai's ES is completely different.

Fujigen made Greco SA almost perfectly replicates the internal structure of a 1959 Gibson 335. There are multiple grooved woods above and below the center block, and the rear pickup cavity also has only a small hole through which the pickup cord passes.

On the other hand, Tokai does not reproduce a specific era, but extracts the good points of the ES series from 1959 to 1964 they said..

The rear pickup cavity is wide open like the 335 in 1964. However, Tokai does not have a structure with multiple grooves above and below the center block, and completely solid boards are glued together with exquisite precision, so I don't think it can be said which is better.

If Fujigen makes Greco, Who makes Tokai? I thought they were made by Fujigen.
No.

Fujigen made Greco, and Tokai was manufactured by Tokai. This is a basic story.
And you say that you think both Greco and Tokai were made by Fujigen, but no.

There was a time when Tokai made Greco, but Fujigen never made Tokai.

Greco's best semi-acoustic was recognized as the pinnacle in 1980 and 1981, during the Super Real project, which was only built for two years, with the SA-1200 being the top of the story.

The Super Real Project ended and a series called Mint Collection began, and there was a time when Tokai was helping to produce semi-acoustics for the Mint Collection. This can be seen in the characteristics of the drilling of the pickup cavity. However, on the contrary, Fujigen never made a semi-acoustic of Tokai.

Does this make sense?

Yes. I knew they worked together at one point. I guess it was just after the Super Real.
What is Gakki then?
