• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I am new to Historics.
Are there big differences in the two guitars in title?
Differences in build,,tone,,playability?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,,

If a ‘96 is Murphy aged, it’s an aftermarket job.

This guitar is for sale by an old well known dealer.
Said its a 96 that was sent to Murphy in 98 for aging.
Other than that how do these guitars compare to guitars being made today or only a few years ago?

The specs 94 - 2014 + specs are numerous I played several 94 's great guitars , IMO the later Murphy's have much more vintage vibe !

Although a reputable dealer is selling , I would need some documentation Murphy aged the guitar .

If I was shopping Historic's I would buy 2018 - 2021 .

I do own a 2014 R4 its a great guitar , Although if your into spec's the newest model is most appealing !
