2004 Gibson Custom Art & Historic Division Limited Edition TV Yellow R7 opinions?

Apologies for another "opinions on post". It's been awhile since I've entertained the thought of adding a LP to my collection. Had a '72 or '73 Custom in cherry burst many moons ago.

This particular guitar many may have seen. It's for sale "semi" locally and would like some opinions from those in the know on these somewhat "rare" LPC's. I read that these were produced in limited quanities for Sam Ash.

Thanks!

I love mine. Legend has it there were 60 produced.

Rare and beautiful. Can't go wrong with a 57 Custom Reissue.
Mahogany top ('57 RI), right? The grain is very evident. I love it think it's a very pretty guitar.

I love the way black reflector top knobs look on a TV finish, so I've thought of putting some on my (so-called) 1960 Reissue TV Special just for the aesthetics

Beautiful Custom. Just like the one I'm eying. I've read that too (60 produced). Can you tell me the weight of yours?

It's about 10#. The body/top is a single piece of Mahogany. The neck is nice and fat. I swapped the speed knobs for the reflectors as I prefer the look with the nickel hardware. I really like the tone. It has Classic '57 humbuckers. It's plenty bright but not plinky and brittle like Maple top Customs. It has a strong midrange too. The analogy I use is if a regular LPC rings like a brass bell, this one rings like a bronze bell

FYI: R7-LPC are 1-piece m'hog body construction not individual top and back.

Reflectors will work nicely; I still have bells on my R8 Junior DC.

I'd do it!

And a Regal II too! Does yours have gold hardware? I thought the whole Sam Ash run had nickel.
It’s nickel, must be the lighting in my room. It’s the only Custom I have without gold hardware.
Love my Regal and my Swarts

I really like the red version too. When they fade to brown they are gorgeous.
