• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Foolishly let this one get away from me a couple of years ago but I managed to snatch it up again when it reappeared at a local shop. Haven't seen nor touched a CS Nocaster I liked as much the whole time she had been gone. And that just made me miss it all the more.

Awesome nocaster. I can see how that one would haunt you! Having a good story to go with a good guitar is always a bonus.

Thanks! Yes it's good to have her back. It's a relic but as you can see, the CS shop didn't get all sandpaper and chisel happy on this one. It looks like someone had just kind of got started with relic-ing it and forgot to finish it lol! Works for me. The vintage blonde Thinskin finish on the body is another thing you don't see often and it was one of the first things (after the flamey neck) to grab my attention when I first saw this axe back in 2014. It was special ordered that way according to the Fender CS Shop Traveller sheet I obtained from Fender.

Looks like a great guitar, so congrats for scoring it back :salude
I absolutely love Nocaster's, and mine is quite unusual in that it has a body that was stamped as a relic, but it was finished in Shoreline Gold (as a custom order), and received no relicing whatsoever.
Mine also has a very thin finish with the grain clearly showing through the finish... they do a great job at the Custom Shop. :jim

Neck looks like a good handful!

It feels right to me. It's .959 thick 1st fret and .996 12th and is probably typical or in the ball park for these reissues. U shape, D shape maybe IDK but it's not a V or a boat neck .

I also recently bought a 2009 NOS Nocaster and the guitar is fabulous. After playing my Aged Skinner for some time, the neck on my Nocaster absolutely is killer! I am loving the tones. Between the Skinner and the Nocaster, I can cover a shit load of tones!:dude:

Wow, I never saw one on Shoreline Gold and that DOES look amazing. I always have thought the copper Telecasters with black guards were killer but the one you have there is equally as cool if not moreso!:salude Sweet amp too.

Nice! I have a NOS version from the same time period. I've made a couple mods.

Thanks mate, yeah I love the copper finish as well. Actually this is the only Shoreline Gold Nocaster I've ever seen as well. It has a 9.5 neck and is super lightweight, just a great guitar.

No way I could ever part with that neck.

That's what I said about the one below. A Fender CS '56 NOS Stratocaster. Never quite bonded with it like I'd hoped. I think I got rid of it before I let the Nocaster go but, I missed the Nocaster after I had no-caster:hank

Oh, be still my heart!!
