2013 Les Paul Signature T? Really?

This morning, I purchased this guitar on Reverb.
https://reverb.com/item/40104022-gi...th-manual-tuners-2013-wine-red?show_sold=true
My first question is shouldn't the first 2 numbers of the serial number be "13" if it's a 2013 model?
I'm not an expert on Les Paul's, but isn't this a "Traditional" model and not a "Signature T" ? Possibly a 2013 early run of the 2014 year line?
Any experts please weigh in on any problematic discrepancies you might see. If it is indeed a Traditional model, I'm OK with that. It has the features I want.

Geeze, you bought it, now it's problematic? Serial is correct. Signature T - Traditional?? either way it's a nice Standard. I never got all the micro model splitting and fracturing of a basic, straight up Standard. If it makes you feel better to call it a Traditional, call it that. You scored a real nice 2013 Les Paul with useful upgraded loom at a good price, IMO. You did good, accept that and enjoy it. Wine Red is such a classic and beautiful color for a Les Paul.

It's not problematic. As I stated, I bought the guitar because I like the features. I would like to know what exact model I own though.
I read somewhere that the first 2 numbers of the serial should represent the year, is that incorrect?

I bought this guitar because it's almost lmost an exact clone of a Classic that my wife brought me as a gift some years ago. I sold it and have regretted it ever since.

Looks to me like a Signature T with the truss rod cover changed from "T" (which some people hated) to Traditional. Listing mentions the granadilla fretboard and lack of push pull pots (stock on the Sig T, not present with the new harness). Great guitars, basically a Standard with a different fretboard material. Enjoy!

The 2013 Signature “T” is a fantastic Les Paul! Flies WAY below the radar. I own a few of them and every time I grab one out of the rotation it puts a smile on my face. Great guitars if you can find them. 2013 was considered to be one of Gibsons better years!

The research I've been doing points in the same direction. Count me in as a T truss rod cover hater. What the hell was Gibson thinking putting that cheap looking thing on a Les Paul?

Got her on Monday and she's a joy. A nicer guitar than my 2001 Classic.

It is not a Traditional - the Truss Rod Cover was replaced

These shipped with and with out the G-Force Tuners. Big differences vs a Traditional from the era
are 60s Neck vs 50s on a Traditional, Granadillo fretboard vs Rosewood, and Push Pull Pots vs standard
wiring.

Your guitar was modded.

So most likely the truss rod cover's been replaced. I know it has the Vintage Relic 50's wiring. If it is indeed a Signature T, then I guess a 3rd mod is the manual tuners. They should be Grover locking type and not Grover Deluxe.

The final word. This from Gibson Customer Service:
"Hi,
Thanks for the reply. The pictures and serial number are consistent with a Les Paul Signature T model in Wine Red finish, made on the 7th day of 2013 in Nashville, TN. This originally came with Min-ETune tuners and the truss rod cover would have been added after the guitar left the factory. Specs can be found at the link below. Thanks again!"

I got one of these Signature T's. The Goldtop model and it's a MONSTER. I had to have the toggle switch replaced, but other than that, it just roars! Very satisfied with this Axe.

My fav Les Paul. I gig with them consistently. Split coils, comfortable, fast slim neck. 57 classic sound fantastic.
