Anyone know when these will be available and if they can be MTM?

from the Gibson site..

"The Sweet Sound of '64
The Historic Reissue ES-335 is back and better than ever thanks to a year of studying, scanning, and listening to original examples. The expert craftspeople at Gibson Custom Shop have rendered every contour, profile, inlay and color of the priceless vintage models in magnificent detail. The result is a playing and ownership experience that will keep you coming back for more. The 1964 Reissue models utilize sharp horn cutaways, medium C-shape neck profiles scanned from originals, small block inlays and vintage-replica parts."

Would like to see a side by side comparison of the Memphis ones and the new Nashville ones.. what they 'scanned' differently this time and some close ups ...
at $5200.00 and not being able to play one before you order it, it would be nice to have more info .. especially as I have been waiting to see these to decide if I will pop for one..
Any info appreciated..

Do any dealers have them in-stock? I'm interested. I have a 2014 that was suppose to be the "most accurate" versions made(no tube Truss Rod, Hide Glue used for the fingerboard & Neck joint/fingerboard,cedar rim linings & weighed Maple center block..).. I'd love to see how they stack up.
Thanks!

Im interested in these ones too. I hope they will lower the neck angle, cause it was too high and historically uncorrect on Memphis models. :hmm

Why didnt they just use the templates from all those laser scrutinized measurements they made for the Clapton Crossroads 64? They said it was painstakingly recreated from the original. so, why not just make those with all the Cream tidbits left off? The basic guitar they made was spot on!
Which also makes you scratch your head as to why they just didnt make all 335's from those templates after they released the copy? They should have just applied those designs to all models across the board from that time on. Do you know how many more 335's they would have sold by now? Instead, they went back to the cheaper less accurate builds..'
Cant quite understand why they would intentionally decide to opt for a less accurate reissue when they could have sold the better model... then spend the next 15 years advertising that every years memphis models since are the closest they have made to the original. Just makes absolutely no sense..

The Clapton bodies were all made in Japan by Terada because Gibson didn’t have the right shoes or forms but Terada did as they were used for the Epiphone Elites/Elitists.

For all those scrutinized measurement they did not do a good job of recreating the Clapton 335. If you look at the RI next to EC's a lot of the hardware placement is off, the pickguard is off etc. Also, it's hard to tell fm most photos but the top on Clapton's is two piece. Doesn't mean it's not a great guitar, the ones I've played have been great.

Eh, lotsa rabble. I wonder what the body thickness is, my '64 is pretty stout though I've not measured it I'd say it's a hair fatter than other ES 335's.

Technically the wood laminates were pressed in Japan but the bodies were otherwise assembled in the Nashville CS. What I was told anyway.
