• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I got to wind the R9 out in a field this weekend.

As this was a long weekend in Canada, we put together our old band (started in '67) for fun. With only 2 short practices, we were still able to pull off 24 of the old songs - and we didn't suck all that bad.

Over the years we'd lost one member to a heart attack, and had 2 others sit in (rhythm guitar and harp) that weren't in the original band.

Maybe 50 people showed up - it was held at a friend's tree farm.

This was held in Edmonton, Alberta, our bass player came in from Winnipeg, I came from Calgary, rhythm guitar player came from Vancouver and we had friends come from as far away as Mexico. It was great reliving a bit of mis-spent youth and seeing old friends again.

thanks Sean, yeah, it was really a lot of fun. Except for the lack of hair, makes you feel young again.

We tried to build the two sets from the old stuff, Stones, Animals, Dylan, Steppenwolf etc, closed with our standard piece, Loveitis (Mandala)
