Seriously the only conclusions you can get from this video are it sounds and looks like an historic, the amp sounds and looks like a marshall and the guy didnt really reveal any huge details.
It doesn't seem that anyone outside this forum knows or cares about these details.
Why is it that thousands of these guitars have been sold, but only a handful of people really give a shit?
Maple...
Be nice, Dave is a friend of mine....but yes, he can play!
im shocked..my hippie chick just got up...i played it for her...she saidwhen my wife gets up I'll play it for her and post what she says......she's the hippie chick that wont keep her idea to herself...remember those chicks??SHUTUPPPPPPPP!!!
I must be the odd ball in the bunch because there was nothing about the tone of that guitar that wowed me. Maybe it was the amp possibly not being my cup of tea or the low recording quality, but......:wah
You have to wait 50 years for it to sound right so in 2059 you will get the right tone !! :hee
:wah

Even if it was the best sounding Historic you ever heard.....doesnt mean the one next to it on the rack, or the one you order, or get delivered from an Ebay seller is going to sound any good.
Same goes for an actual 59', let alone any other manufactured guitar for that matter.
...im willing to bet that even if the cosmetics have been improved, they wont be so spot on as to stop some of the more fussy of us replacing them with aftermarket parts.as far as i know many aftermarket vendors should look out for a new job

As for the sound on that clip?
The whole thing sounded too bright to me. I expect a neck pickup to have that rounded sound I'm used to hearing. That one sounded like a bridge pickup
...then he threw the switch down and it sounded like a tele to me.
It's actually pretty easy to do. On the amp, just turn the knob marked "bass" left (counter-clockwise) and turn the knob marked "treble" right (clockwise) :jim
