A friend of mine brought over his '52 Trapeze gold top for me to install and set-up with a MojoAxe tailpiece today.

I can't say enough about how awesome old P-90's sound!
The neck on this old girl is really nice. Smaller than my '56 Junior, and a '59 DC Jr i've measured.

The fact that there's a readily available upgrade tailpiece like this now (Thanks Dan!!!!) that works so well is so nice. Hopefully these old beauty's don't get butchered anymore.
Intonation on this thing was perfect. (Well as perfect as rule of 18 fret spacing will give you)
The old girl had enough of a neck angle also, that I had plenty of room for action adjustment and the pups were at optimal height to require minimal pole piece adjustment.

Hope you enjoy the pics!

Beautiful guitar! Getting those strings around the top of the tailpiece is a game changer with these guitars IMO. :dude:

Thanks for sharing. That mojoaxe tailpiece is a winner! :salude Are the bridge height adjustment screws tapped into the top of the guitar?

No problem!

The mojoaxe tailpiece's height adjustment screws are upside-down machine screws, with flat head slots cut into their bottoms (which is what you get at from the tailpiece's top). They're either nickel or stainless, but either way, extremely smooth.
This way, you have a No10 or so sized phillips head screw resting on the guitars top.
The bridge does also come with the option to screw in small threads like you'd see to adjust a warptail intonation; however, those would dig into the top (which is their intent) and keep the tailpiece from shifting, which it can do without them if you go all Pete Townsend on it.

edit:

Found the pic I saw Dan posted a while back:
