• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I'm not classifiable, Charlie. I go through phases- blues, blues rock, hard rock, metal, acoustic finger picking, flatpicking- I just do whatever I feel like because I don't owe anyone any allegiance, I play what I want to play, and I play for me. if I want to throw out 'Bark At The Moon' right after I drop 'Over the Rainbow', by God I will; and f*ck anyone who tells me I'm wrong for doing it.
That being said, I do like to use the right tool for the job. Right now I'm concentrating on metal, but I've now got the gear I think I need- I'm getting the sounds I want to, anyway- and I'm getting the feeling I'll be moving to something else diametrically opposed sometime soon- probably more fingerstyle and alternate tunings on acoustic. 'The Water is Wide' is stuck in my brain and I can't get it out!

Sure, RICH! Just TRY to convince me that you can actually wash your hair while singing "Freewheel Burning" in the shower without seriously hurting yourself! :!
