It is. I played through blackface Fenders for yonks.
Unfortunately, I'm late to the party. I grew up on that Gibson, Marshall, Celestion, Birch ply cabs, Mids pushed thing.
Then one day , it was like a lightbulb got switched on and there it was.

Understandable; it was my privilege to experience all the power & the glory of Hiwatts, Sound City stacks, Marshalls (ever played through a Major?) along with Fenders of all stripes BITD.

Many was the happy hour I indulged in having my trouser flares flapped by extreme SPLs. Alas, no longer acceptable in the current culture.

Gibson amps weren't in my wheelhouse.

So his tech added a master volume, and then he turned the master down and the channel volume up, and a twin is going from clean to dirty at bedroom volume. Now if he could make it weigh 40 lbs less then he is really on to something! Nice playing in that video. Getting into that jazzy thing myself and it really makes playing at home enjoyable.
