Hello.
This is a 80ties Korina V. Ser. No D70.
Looks like Classic 57er Pu to me and a Nashville Bridge.
Is that right for that D Series? To my eyes it looks original to that guitar
Thanks for any help.

Not sure about the D series. The A series had Shaw pups and an ABR-1 bridge. 57 Classics did not exist in the early 80’s.

Thank you for your reply and pictures LPR6.

Anybody else with some infos? Or a link to a website etc.
Seems like there is not much info out there about these guitars.

They all had Shaw - that pickup cannot be original. That soldering also is a sign it has been messed with.

The bridge should be an ABR straight into the body. I’ll get some photos up of my old one.

Exactly right! Someone also installed treble bleed caps, which were definitely not original.

I don't know how authentic they were to the originals, but they were such cool looking guitars. Here's the advertisement that Gibson created back then:

Pickup and bridge are what you say they are, but they are not original to that guitar as has been stated. Have your bridge posts and inserts been changed as well?

Yes, the inserts for the bridge are steel in the body. Not like an ABR1.
The pickguard fits perfect over the inserts. Then i have to assume, that someone drilled the body for Nashville inserts and drilled the pickguard bigger, to make it fit over the inserts?

Someone must have been a real Nashville bridge fanatic to do such a thing. I wonder if any ever left the factory that way or someone ordered one that way. Changed pickups too isn't a good sign and Gibson isn't what it used to be for asking questions, but you could give it a shot.

Looks authentic! Classic '57 pickups and Nashville bridge seem correct.
Not for a Korina 83 RI Flying V ! If the OP is asking "are these factory original to my guitar", then the answer is no.

My C series here.

Getting an ABR form that era shouldn't be hard, and even Shaw's come up for sale frequently....at obscene prices mind you.

I asked Gibson and they said these guitars came with a tune o matic bridge. They didn't say a Nashville is wrong on that guitar.
The answer leaves room for speculation...

It’s wrong on that guitar in terms of being factory.

Someone added it. Just play it and enjoy.

Didn‘t they all have black guards?
Yes, good catch! And along with the black guard was the black jackplate.

And since the OP still has "speculation" that his Nashville bridge could be original, my answer is, no.
