87' prehistoric with a pretty cool, but unusual top?

Hi Guys. Found this gem a couple of months ago. I has the original pickups and it plays and sound really well. Although it probably isn't a historic "correct" top I think it is very nice and unusual. What do you think?

These kind of top were first seen on the Heritage Elite Serie guitars starting 1980.
