• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

9 0643 and 9 0696 "Grainger-Burst" up for auction at Heritage

Neal Schon's (entire?) collection is going against the hammer:

Two bursts:

Odd to see it all get sold after a seemingly endless streak of passionate buying.

Wasn't he on a buying streak the last couple of years? I seem to recall a bunch of Tweets of him showing recent purchases of vintage guitars? And now to dump a bunch?? Non the less, some very cool guitars for sure!

Wow what a collection! Indeed, I remember that Schon was on a buying spree some time ago.
The 1960 Black EDS-1275 has changed hands several times over the past few years.
Charlie at OK Guitars got it from someone.
Matt's Guitar shop had it too.
It may now go from Neal Schon to another owner soon.
(I want it...!)

That red 1960 LP Custom is pretty rad! If I recall, there are about six of them and they all were shipped to Sweden around 1960. (I want this one too...)

There is a notable void of P90 Gibsons.

I saw him mention on another forum he has about 800 guitars, so fair enough he's thinning the herd

Neal Schon is an excellent guitarist. I hope someone enjoys most of those guitars he auctioned off, especially that black Les Paul he used on Don't Stop Believin.
