• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

A little LP Gem porn!

Brought this one back out this week. This was my first P-90 LP that I got about 9 years ago. She's a 96. Still have her and dig the HECK out of her! RS kit and Peter Florance Voodoo P-90s later and she's still one of my favs! SUPER RESONANT!!! I can feel the wood vibrate against my body with every note. Translate....TONE!!! Great stuff! Let's see some Gem's and P-90s brothers and sisters!!!

Sharp - went out to do a little guitar purchase recon with my 14 year old and he was asking why are there no blue LPs, told him they were rare indeed, but worth looking out for...

Those old red-knob Dual Showmans kicked ass! Wish I still had mine.

Here is my 1994 Studio, this one is not a GEM. All stock and dressed in black on black with gold hardware. It was from Gibsons cenntinal so the s/n starts with 94.

Very cool! I love my Gem ...got her fairly cheap mainly because I never have owned P90s before. Man what a shocker how much I love this thing! Just a great guitar ...not to mention I have the uber rare and supererior Amythyst version. ;)
Enjoy that beauty!!

Great to see some Gem fans. I think they are AMAZING LPs that you can get for a reasonable price. Plus, the colors are WAY cool, IMO. Mine sounds as good as some of the higher priced and custom shop LPs I own. Anyway - another pic....some more fun with the Gem tonight. This time into a Bad Cat Hot Cat, and a little Gretsch candy to show too! (I'm a HUGE Gretsch guy as well!)

I have a hard time deciding wich colour is my favorite ; blue, green or red:hmm . When I had a chance to jump on my Emerald last year, I did not hesitate because it was mint. And boy am I happy. It sounds great, and it is very versatile.:2cool
