• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Joe has played my early '60 burst a few times. Here's a shot from the Saban Theatre in 2012:

Charlie asked me a few weeks ago for a tally of all the Bursts we have checked out. As of last Saturday at Radio City, Joe and I have seen 95 Bursts. Joe has performed with 34 of these.

I was surprised to see how many of those Bursts have top wrapped tailpieces. I didn't see too many in BOTB.

Joe prefers them that way [for playing] and asks the owners if they are okay with that.
I believe Mike restrings every one.

Not played during a show, but played on his stage.

Joe's recent vintage Les Paul live-playing marathon has got to be the modern day equivalent of the fabled run of the Greek soldier Pheidippides, a messenger from the Battle of Marathon to Athens. :dude:

I hope not for Joe's sake...........Pheidippides died from the exertion of it all.

I know this is an old thread, but it would be cool to get an update? Maybe too many to count? How bout it Mike? Also, maybe Charlie can post a few recent Picts?
