• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Am I alone on this?

Not alone. I use one all the time but take it off after I tune up before a set. I don’t use pedals except for a wah once in a while and I don’t want another device in the chain or underfoot. I hate the look both from from the audience perspective and seeing it out of the corner of my eye.

Imagine all those cool photos of Clapton’s headstock with a burning cigarette. Now imagine a clip on tuner right next to it. I can’t either.

The uncoolness would probably put out the ciggie...

So I guess I shouldn't buy that 'vintage' cigarette burned tuner...

I tried clipping my Peterson VS-1 to the back of my Les Paul, but the bungee cord keeps coming loose. Maybe Krazy Glue or a permanent bolt-on method would work better?

Everyone knows that if you glue them on it makes vibrato easier and you get better sustain...

I use a Boss TU12-EX. I saved the bubble wrap that it came in, so that it fits in the old TU12 case .. which is held together with about half a pound of duct tape! :rofl ... It sits on top of the amp, not plugged into the circuit. I plug straight in.
