By the way, am I the only one who thinks Katharine is a cutie?

I agree. I prefer brunettes because of girls like her!

Ok, so now Bucky is gone... Maybe Katherine still has a chance. I still think she is the best signer and best looking too...

Tim,
Your predictions were pretty close, but not on the money. Katherine's a babe. She has the whole package. Hopefully she'll win.

To the theory about young girls voting, remember, a young girl won last year.

Wiser,

Go here www.dialidol.com

The accuracy of this site is listed as 81%. I hesitated to give it out because I didn't want to spoil the show for some.

What a night! I thought they all did well. If I HAD to pick the bottom three it would be Elliott, Kellie and Paris. Katharine was phenominal and all the judges were wowed by her it seemed.

I always thought Katherine was the best, but tonight she really proved it. Never mind how gorgeous she is, her voice is perfect, and she has total control over it. And she was a huge notch above the rest. She reminds me of a young Barbra Streisand (but much more beautiful).

I have never followed the norm, usually. But this year I like Elliot and Katherine best. I think these two could handle anything thrown their way. Good luck to all of them.......

Did Chris do the rocker thing again? Is he booted off already? I haven't been watching it for two weeks...

Katherine showed them all how it should be done.

Elliott has a distinctive voice. He sings and you know it's him. One of those things that a singer needs to differentiate himself. I don't particularily care for him, but that is just me.

Taylor seems to have gotten less animated. I really liked him when he was doing that Joe Cocker thing. It looked like he was putting everything into it. Now he seems to more or less just stand and sing. Rod Stewart had it right. You've got to get the audience by the balls and Taylor did that when he was gyrating about. Everyone couldn't take their eyes off him. Now you can close your eyes and not miss anything

I agree. The show was a complete failure for me. Katherine is the only one that could be an American Idol. Yeah, she's super hot in my book! I dig Taylor but his thing isn't American Idol fare. He'll continue to do well w/r&b etc.

I caught the tail end of the show last night, so I didn't see everyone, but I thought Chris kicked ass. Taylor sucked! The first half of his song, I thought he was noticably off-key.

My prediction is that the guy with the bad teeth is the next to go.... :jim

It almost appeared as though the three judges were attempting to down play the popularity of Katherine McPhee last night. I thought she was great. The judges said her mistake was doing a Whitney Huston song. I can agree with that, but for a different reason; I can't stand Whitney Huston's voice. Too many runs, and awfully noisy to me. Chris and Elliot were okay last night. Katherine is still the best by miles.

You know, I thought the same thing. It seemed to be scripted in an attempt to level the playing field. I guess they think it's too early in the season for her to run away with it.

I thought she sounded great. She's beautiful as well, and that doesn't hurt. I bet Katherine can sing that song better than Whitney could right now... :2cool

Paula Abdul crying during Elliott's performance? Please! A more appropriate response would have been puking.

I disagree. Her performance was the only one that I saw.
I really like her a lot, but...

She didn't do that song justice at all. She was straining for the high notes.
I think the judges were right on the money although they were harsher on her than they'd be with anyone else.

Maybe because she bit off more than she could chew?

Almost all of them did. I think the problem may have been this week's instructors, Andrea Bocelli and David Foster. They kind of pulled them from their pop element. Of course, when it comes to Katherine's performance this week, it's more of a personal taste issue. While I'm sure the pop taste of the three judges leaves them biased to anyone singing a Whitney Huston song, I liked Katherine's rendition more. I can't stand the way Whitney sings anything. She gives me a headache.

Looks like Kelly is gone. I would have rather seen Paris go first out of the bottom 2. Elliot kicked butt in the voting, but I still like Kat. best. She has the whole package.
