• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I have been a diver since 1998 and logged over 150 dives. Not a lot but not a little either. I only warm water dive and don't do the cold water thing. If I cant be at depth in just a bathing suit and shirt skin and see my temp gauge at .80 degrees or warmer than I don't want anything to do with it. Nearly all my dives were in the Cayman's however I have been to Bonaire, Cancun, Curcaco, and Cozumel. I also did the shark dive with Stuart Coves in the Bahamas. That's was a great one. I spent many days power diving in the Caymans going out back in the day with Treasure Island Divers. We would go out for 8 hours, log 6 dives, and have a lunch break in between. Those were great dives. We did 2 shallow dives and a deep wall dive in the morning and 2 shallow and another wall dive in the afternoon using computers and nitrox.

History Lesson: Back in the 90's on Grand Cayman Treasure Island Hotel and TI Divers was owned by recording artist Dolly Parton, Ronnie Milsap, Conway Twitty, and Larry Gatlin. They had 3-50 foot Garcia professional dive boats that they had built new for the operation and also built the hotel. The boats were named Twitty Diver, Milsap Diver, and Gatlin Diver. This was an incredible hotel and dive operation. Overs the years the hotel went down hill fast as there just was not enough income to maintain it. The hotel was a huge mega resort. In 2004 the hotel suffered severe damage from Hurricane Ivan and they lost 1 of the 3 boats. The owners decided to sell off the hotel and just keep the diver operation but that only lasted 1 or 2 years than they just sold off the boats and got out all together. This was a shame because TID was thee best diver operator on Grand Cayman in my opinion.

I have been a diver since 1985.I went on my honeymoon to Grand Cayman in 1991 and went on first night dive, wreck dive, and 100' dive. I used to dive mainly New England in my heyday. I hope I can do some more diving someday.
