• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Any Music Man Armada or Knaggs guitars out there?

I thing both are cool designs, especially the Armada. Anyone have or play one. Interested in opinions.

Neither own nor have played one.

Doubtless fine guitars though.

Rather like the MM Armada's 'look', as it is a bit different. Nevertheless, whether that is a good thing among what usually is a conservative guitar-buying public, is another matter ... I wonder whether the typical Music Man neck profiles, (while loved by some) they do usually tend not to be, what, (say) many Gibson players might prefer.

Regarding the Knaggs models ... Build quality, likely unquestionable, although given his previous PRS association, (and respect) I wonder that his models, (in trying to be 'different' from PRS by way of being a bit 'off-the-wall') will prove to be a limiting factor in terms of popularity?

Cool 'higher end' designs, (as you say) although buyers will perhaps need to be prepared to take a 'hit' in event of any resale value, (IMO) though.

Good point on the resale aspect, especially given the price of admission. Would be interested to see what they go for in the resale market, although I don't expect to see many out there.
