• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Anybody Heard of a Gibson LP Standard 50s in Honeyburst?

My local guitar center has a 2020 Les Paul Standard in Honeyburst. They’re saying it’s limited edition, but I can’t find any documentation anywhere about that color and I know it’s not a standard option for the 50s model. It’s close to an unburst 60s color but it definitely has the 50s neck and Kluson style tuners. Can anyone assist? They’re asking $2499 for it. Looks brand new except for a small scuff in the clear near the top strap button. I just want to make the right first LP purchase.

Very well may be a limited edition for them. They have the pull to be able to do that stuff - heck, they had limited colors and things when they were under 50 stores big, much less now at a few hundred.
You could contact Gibson and ask them.
That all said, $2500 is what a Standard sells for. If the scuff really bothers you, ask if they can discount it for you.
The biggest question is, do you like the guitar otherwise.

Second is about that Junior on the wall behind you... :)

I saw a Honeyburst one, too. They exist. A black standard 50s also appears to be a choice now.

To me that color looks like a lemon burst . What's in a name anyway as it's all about color and figure and not the label .

If you want to make the right decision make sure you like. Who cares what color it's called.
