• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Anyone own a 60th anniversary SG Les Paul?

Not sure if this is the right thread for this! If not let me know. I’m just wondering if anyone owns the 60th anniversary Les Paul SG’s custom or standard version. I’m thinking of getting one in the summertime. I own the standard reissue model so I don’t need to hear about tuning issues lol. Anways.. how do you like it? Has yours aged at all? (Finish checked, etc) I also wanna see pictures of em’.

Thanks!

I’ve got one. I’d actually had it up for sale but change my mind every time I play it. It’s a really good sounding guitar and crazy lightweight at 6lbs 14oz.

I just got a Custom, I love it. The sideways vibrola should not be taken seriously though, it's there for looks. The originals are rare because they sucked! There's a guy on ebay that makes a kit to block them. After inquiring about them I learned that the reissue vibrola isn't identical to the original so he has a specific kit for each. Luckily the reissue kit is the cheaper of the 2. I hope you find one and have fun with it!

That's me that offers the locking kits for both the original 1960's sideways Vibrola and the Reissue version. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Dan at info@mojoaxe.com
