• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Awesomeness in a can.

All the square ends are Honduran HOG. Reclaimed. Some of the large pieces I'll bet are as well.

Wow, I loved it! Thanks! One of my all time favorite songs to begin with, and I absolutely love this version.

And y’all beat me to the punch on the mahogany body and neck blank comments. That’s quite the stash!

only adds gas to the flames of my GAS for one of those little sisters

they are very cool. I WANT one. there are some pretty cool ones on reverb. some day. most likely!

interesting that he used a capo for that....

I found this vid of knopfler and there are a few things that stand out

that riff at 23 seconds is so cool. just spent the last 15 minutes working it out...

and for the theory nerd that is learning in me does anyone know what key or mode this is ?

does he use a volume pedal to get that note effect at 29 seconds? sounds like it and looks like it the way his knee goes up

but I also feel like his les paul sound is very iconic-- and nobody else really sounds like that with a les paul. Its like he uses the instrument differently. and I love how it sounds

anybody else feel that way about Les Paul Knophler?

also interesting how he slung a strat early on and kind of moved more towards les pauls vs Clapton doing the opposite.
