• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

So I picked up this little 10 Watt Vox used at Bali music store to use for this Bali school of Rock for local community children in Bali. Lightweight, cheap and etc.

I just retubed it with JJ power tubes and Electro Harmonix 12AX7s and got a little Orange 2 X 12 open back with Vintage 30s and holly cow!

Amazing tone and super loud.

Today, my other guitar player and lead singer was playing 60s Telecaster through it. Pre amp volume "Distortion" was on maybe 1 o'clock and the Volume was only at 9 ish o'clock and it was keeping up my Les Paul through a 60 watt amp with a and a Seventy 80 with pre maxed and volume at 12 o'clock.

I also have Dr. Z, Bad Cat, Hughes Kettner Triamp and a McFly on Jackson ported cabinet . . . and I think this little cheap Vox AC10 is dang near as good sounding as anything I have.

When you’ve got a small amp that sounds great, it’s good to get another one and a Y cable to run the both maybe 8-10 feet apart. Especially with closed cabs which can sound too directional, it really just fills a room with a surround sound sort of thing.
