• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Hope I am not contravening rules but we are pleased to say at long last the book is available on Amazon at GuitarGallery and Hal Leonard. This is def. the final Burst Believers - we may, at some time write a related book on Gibson/Les Pauls.

You know, 50 years ago a friend of mine owned # 9 3177. Is it in any of the BB books?
Thanks!

Thanks David! My friend Rick Reeder had it and then sold it. I have a photo of it with my original Travis Bean Artist (s/n 11) leaning up against a palm tree when we both lived in Portland, Texas in 1974/75. I'd just like to see a more recent photo than the one from the 70's. I sold my Travis Bean to Bill Kaman in 1994 as he had a collection of about 75 of them. I'd like to have my Travis Bean back, but Bill sold it to someone he forgets their name.
The Travis Bean was the first guitar that Travis and Marc put a serial number on and the third guitar they made.. It was my main guitar for years. Has alot of sentimental value to me. I only sold it so I could buy a new car as my ol' Honda Accord was dying..
Thanks!
