• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Burst Pic of the Week: 0-7437 Another late 60 to add to the list.

I recently acquired this lovely Gibson. It was a hasslefree transaction with former owner James Stevenson and the nice gentlemen at NoTom Guitars, London. This is my first real Burst, and having owned several other 50's Les Pauls during the years, I finally found myself in position to own a real 58-60 Les Paul. So when I saw this one for sale at NoTom's website I pulled the trigger.
The guitar is a well known certified Burst, appearing in Vic DaPra's Burst Believers vol. 2 + 3, as well as on Julio's excellent website burstserial.com.
It plays wonderfully with a heavenly sound and weighs in at 8 lbs 13 oz (4 kg). Apart from the Bigsby holes (and 4 mysterious holes in the top from who knows what tremolo), it is totally original with unopened PAF's and untouched soldering. The neck is the slim 1960 type, but not too slim, and it's a pleasure to play. The color is still just as vibrant
as one could hope for. I am really, really happy with it. :)
Super Mega Congrats ! Play her in great health !

Had to drool again. Oh, the dark board. Oh, the robust cherry. Oh, the mineral streaks. Oh, the reflectors. Passed on to enjoy, no wonder the toes are twinkling... Congrats and enjoy in good health!
