• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Collectors Choice 33 Hanna Burst with photo

Gibson did a very poor job of marketing this guitar. As far as I know there has been no promotional literature distributed about this guitar. I went to Huber's today to get some strings and stuff and to my surprise they actually had one in. It is number 3 and I was told this was the first one to ship. As far as I know no other dealer in the USA has even got one of these yet and most folks don't even know the model is even being built let alone shipped. There is nothing on the Gibson web site about this model.

I can't see more than 100 of these being built. That could be overly optimistic, or I could be way wrong too.

WW has two in stock now. Number 9 and 13. But they call it the Jeff Hanna Burst.

Excellent top. Did the lack of advertising and awareness get you a better deal on this one? Congratulations on a great score.

I'm guessing the lack of MKG for this one translates to a money decision. I could be wrong.

I didn't buy it. I just posted it here cause I got an email from a forum member that asked me if I knew anything about this model or if I had one coming in and I told him I didn't. Then I go to Huber's today and they got the first one. I didn't even know who the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band or Jeff Hanna even was????

I was told this one sold today. Now that didn't take long. I guess some are interested in this model after all.

I played one of these today at The Music Zoo. The guitar looked awesome, and sounded great. The neck is very thin. Has the elliptical thing going on for sure. Very skinny from frets 5,6,7 & 8.

I recommend anyone looking at these try before your buy make sure you like the neck. Again it looked & sounded great, played I through a Marshall 1974X.

Hi Peanut73...actually, we're in queue for the website and promotion to go live. Custom shares the Corporate marketing resources that all divisions do and sometimes they get behind on us. One personal observation I can make on this one is that the neck is excellent if you like the V2-ish profile. I'll pop back in here and let everyone know when the web site is live. In the meantime, I'll have Charles post the product info on the LPF. Thanks.....Kevin

Thanks Kevin! Unrelated, do you know when Vic's next Collector's Choice is set to launch? Might be way off topic, but really excited about that one.

I'll check on it next week when Im in Nashville. I know that it's been studied and the prototype is being built, but I'm not sure how far along we are. Stay tuned.
