HI all, long time no post. Years ago, I built a 54 replica guitar that I never got around to painting. I don't have any of the gear to paint or build guitars anymore. I'm out of touch with who currently does good goldtop finishes. I'm looking to get the whole guitar painted, but would like a decently vintage looking Goldtop finish. I had a guitar painted by Dave Johnson about 15+ years ago, but that was right before he started doing Historic Makeovers work. I also assume Historic Makeovers would now be way out of my price range due to their demand. Can anyone point me in the direction of a person or company who would be able to do a good Goldtop finish that won't break the bank.
