• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Did Gibson ever make a historic ‘59/‘60 ES355 with varitone and bigsby?

Hi - long time lurker here. With the release of the Noel Gallagher ES355, I had a very vague recollection of seeing a reissue ‘59/‘60 ES355 with varitone and bigsby many moons ago. Can’t find a thing about it now. Was I dreaming?!

Either way, a true Historic ‘59 ES355 a guitar that Gibson have missed out reissuing as a continued model. Everything else seems to have been made, except this…. I’d certainly like to see it released again, rather than the limited run of 200 currently on offer…

I think the new Noel Gallager model would be the closest.

The Gibson M2M program could probably make one for you.

did Gibson offer the varitone on 59/60 es-335's?
or was it just a run of modern ones that were offered with it?
I thought the varitone was offered on the es345/355 models and maybe a few others but not the 335.

just wondering.
