I did upgrades to my Historics , but very minor stuff , as the bridge , and hardware especially the pickups should stay were they are from the factory, as i try to treat them like a real burst and you want that stuff origional,...”My thinking”
the stuff i corrected is on my 2016 Historic SG standard Maestro vibrato, i installed Nylon Saddles, a Montreux Time machine collection Poker chip, and Montreux Time machine collection nickle plated “Brass” Domed ABR-1 adjustment wheels.
on my 2018 Gibson Custom R0, i installed a cremetone poker chip with the more accurate fonts, thickness ,material etc..and cremetone Absolute Vintage collection Nickle plated brass ABR-1 adjustment wheels, as Gibson uses steel and real burst used brass.
My 2019 60th Anniversary R9 uses the exact same upgrades as my R0 Cremetone poker chip and nickle plated brass ABR-1 wheels
