• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Doug and Pat show is back with Joe B!

Sacrilege, I know, but looking at that old Burst with the Gibson logo-I kinda like it! :couch
It reminds me of the Strats and others I've seen with folk's initials pasted on with various metal or plastic letters. Elvis anyone?

Sacrilege maybe, but I felt the same way and posted accordingly in that old post.

Hmmmmm.....I wonder what they did to get that logo off of the guitar and how much refin they had to do.

I saw the guitar right after the removal of the logo. Forgot to ask how it came off though, but I'd use a very, very thin nylon fishing line to cut through the glue first. Judged by the pictures now, I'd say that no refinish was done after the removal because it didn't look too bad. A little touch up maybe, don't know

It's an extremely nice guitar, even though I don't like the 1960 finish too much. The wood is just right and the guitar was really appealing to me. Not humble, but honest and authentic maybe? Nice experience anyways

I think that 60 burst was ment to end up with Joe, someone who is interested in it primarily as an instrument. It is ironic that that guitar is being brought up almost one year after the thread that started all the drama.lol good to know this has all ended well. By the way Great show DOUG,PAT,& JOE ;) oh and not to forget MIKE!

That story didn't end well for me...

No i didn't bring up the "African burst screwing" episode. It wasn't his fault in any way shape or form. Just he ended up with the goods, and i ended up with a serve case of "butt hurt" from the african induced screwing. it didn't seem appropriate to mention any of it to joe b. in the end it would have probably just pissed me off, which wasn't the mood i was shooting for at the time.

Are you the guy who "got his feelings hurt"? I thought you got screwed......:wow
"screwed" was an understatement.
