Hi all,
I just won an auction on the 'bay for a Dunlop Octavio, the one in the Jimi Hendrix Authentic series (you know, the one that looks like a piece of cheese...) I got it for what I believe is rather cheap ($83), so if I don't like it, I might be able to flip it rather easily.
I know nothing about those pedals (other than it works better with the neck pickup), and never used one, but since we covers a couple of Hendrix songs in our set, I though I might use it (Purple Haze amongst others). I'm sure I can get a use of it for some other covers too, and for some crazy jams
Has any of you tried one, own one, love it or hate it, and why?
It's going to be plugged into a Marshall 2555SL (Slash version of the Jubilee).
The amp is always running dirty, with moderate gain (around 7 on the dial), and the master is on 5. I get the clean from my guitars vol knobs.
I assume it works better in front of the amp? Worth trying in the loop though ?
Would you put it before or after the wah (true bypass) and before or after a Dunlop Rotovibe? I also use a small buffer (Klon type buffer) right after the guitar and before the tuner (TC electronics polytune).
In short, any advice and opinions are welcome. I should have it sometime next week, and I want to know the most of it before plugging it in...
Thanks all :dude:
