A few notes on the new video:

"You need a Marshall"
-- LOL, of course.

"When is that going to happen...?"
-- Let's see what happens, if and when!

This confirms EC is donating proceeds to Crossroads Centre Antigua, which wasn't made explict in the Gibson announcement or website. Good man.

Guitar Center is involved somehow, given the logo on this video; perhaps not as directly as they were with the Crossroads 335.

Looks like EC was evaluating a non-relic'd guitar (perhaps VOS?) as well as the ML prototype; will one be forthcoming...?

He's still a Ferrari man, through and through: some nice Ferrari fan kit laying about.

Yep, he liked the Marshall combo amp he used for the Bluesbreaker album. Eric in his prime!

Am I wrong with believing that the gentleman interviewing Eric Clapton in the video above is the same Michael Doyle who wrote the well-respected 'History of Marshall Amps' book? Here's a pretty neat interview with him:

He's also involved with the 'Dumble Preservation Society'...

According to the NAMM interview, Michael Doyle holds a pretty important position with Guitar Center, esp. with the fact that he has visited & interviewed Clapton at least twice at Clapton's residence. Also in the NAMM interview, he shares that he enjoyed his time working for Marshall; his book on the history of Marshall has always been held in high esteem. In the YT interview with Clapton, he states that there's a Marshall there with them 'in the other room' but Clapton wasn't interested in that...unfortunately.

The Crossroads 335 was by GC; he was involved in that. Yes, the Marshall aside perhaps bodes something to come under the 'new' Marshall.

We lefty folks can only demonstrate 'partial Clapton love' i.e. while I've seen Clapton Strats yet haven't found one for me, I do have a Clapton Martin 000-28 EC which looks like just yours in the mirror, Mike!

@mikeslub that is so cool that you already own the new Gibson/Clapton LP Custom!
I would love to know how your EC 'Beano' Les Paul plays etc, compared to other Les Pauls you have played...!
