A while ago I had a tech flip one of the magnets in my 345 to eliminate OOP. Which pu should I flip the magnet in, to reverse my error?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter which one you flip.
I had this done a few weeks back and we flipped the bridge.

If both covers haven't been removed, look at the back of the pickups and see which has broken solder joints. That's probably it.

Tone wise it doesn't matter, I just want to put it back the way it came from the factory in 1963.

Phase is relative. If the two pickups are currently out of phase, flip one magnet. That puts them back in phase (with each other). If one pickup is sealed and the other isn't, it's clear that the one that was flipped to begin with is the one that isn't sealed. Even so, it still doesn't matter which one you flip. It simply makes sense to leave a sealed pickup sealed. Makes the next owner happy.

This guitar has a varitone switch, which pickup that has the magnet flip
might be very important to how the factory wiring works.

As it turns out both covers had been removed at one time or another. However, it seems my tech must have flipped the neck pu. He had put an identifying mark on one ear of the bottom plate. Flipped it, BB/Freddie King tone galore! Lord, I don't know why I wanted the OOP tone defeated...
