I've never been lucky enough to get my hands on a LP Special. I'd like to know if the body and neck have the same dimensions as the LP Standard/Custom? I know the LP Special and Juniors have a slab (uncarved) body, so they are thinner. But is the silhouette the exact same as the Standard, or were they also slightly different in shape?

The cutaway shape is different. There is a shoulder et the transition from the body to the neck on the Special (and on the Junior as well) and it is smooth on the Standard (and the Custom). The reason being the neck tenon is straight in ligne with neck on the Special and is narrower on the Standard.

Also, the Junior and Special single cut bodies don't have a neck tenon that extends past the fret board towards the pickups.
