Reminiscent of Glenn Frey's 'Old Black' although his was a Jr mod'd to 2 P-90s.

I dub thee 'Olde Blacker' 🍑

Would like to see the serial number and face of the headstock. I've seen a few black Regular/Standards over the years.

It appears that there was a batch made in 1957 - my guitar is sequentially one serial number digit down from another example I located online… it also appears that Mr. Bonamassa has a black special single cut - anyone know any details on it?

Dang your guitar is CLEAN!

Another cool custom finish one doesn't see often on the SC is the Cherry. Tom (Whittrock) has one...well, did a few years back.

Damn that's smooth. Black guitars sound the best, known fact. IIRC someone on this forum has a factory black 335 dot.

Thank you! Cherry has to be up there with black as a true rarity…

I assume that was you I met at Terry Mueller's booth today at the Arlington show, where I was closely examining the guitar? It certainly is the same guitar! And I can attest that it's a beauty!

It was a pleasure being able to show the black special to so many good people at the show this weekend. Folks really responded positively to the guitar. As amazing as it looks, it’s a hell of a fantastic guitar to play!

I remember getting to see Joe’s black Strat a few years back at a Hollywood Gun Club dinner! It’s the first Custom Colour Fender Strat ever built! Cool stuff!!
