Hey everyone, I received an Epiphone IBG Les Paul 60’s Standard last week. I bought it used on Reverb in mint condition. After finally picking it up at the UPS holding office (couldn’t be home to sign for the package) I got it home, took it out, and noticed it had been damaged during shipping. I was able to get a full refund and when I asked about getting a return label to ship it back to the seller, the rep told me I could go ahead and keep the guitar, so now I’m interested in repairing it. The cracks go all the way through the finish, but I’m not sure if it actually cracked the wood at all. The finish could easily peel away, but I’m not sure how to go about repairing it once it inevitably starts flaking off. Any ideas to repair it to the point that it would look decent? What about if the wood is cracked? I’m not expecting perfection. Thanks!
