• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I'm not sure if the Finnish have a specific solution for this. The Danish and Sweedish have, but I'm unaware of the Simpile Method.

I fill the hole with a dowel. Tooth picks work for small holes. After careful leveling and sanding a simple color touch up followed by a lacquer drop fill, level and rub out. I use Micro Mesh to match the original finish lustre.

How much can you afford and how much do you want to do? Toothpick. Glue. carve with Dremel or blade slightly below finish surface, black paint, burn in finish (see below). How much practice you need? Not a lot if you have hands. I find it rather easy. Look down in the attached url (second line below) for the kit and you can skip the black paint. To go cheap, toothpick, glue, Dremel or blade below surface, black paint and a few drops of superglue to fill the depression. Not as good but pretty cheap.
