• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Fire up the time machine...

That is great. I'll check through my old stuff and see what's hiding. Anyone else got this kinda stuff? Post it!

Looks like an early ad for the LP.

The lap steel shown is not an Epiphone [as advertised] but a Gibson [BR-4 IIRC].
Closing out Epi's c.1952 sounds like the beginning of the end for that old brand. Gibson buys it several years later.

The ad doesn't say when the sale ends. Think I'll head over there and get some terms to sweet me.

Find it funny that the 58-60 Burst were only 17 dollars more in 7 years. I like those figures.

Very cool!
Just for the record... Indiana Music, run by John Rinne (Paul's son, I'll guess) was in business, in Indianapolis, until a few years ago. It was at another location, and was a good little music shop.

I got a great deal on a great guitar (White Custom) shipped from there after my uncle called me after he attended an Indy guitar show in 2003. I had it in my possession 2 days later. I heard Customs don't go over very well over there.
