• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Firebird 1 has landed.

Well my dream bird has arrived, thanks to PeEng and his lovely FB1 for putting me onto Dave’s who have some exceptional stock in the Firebird Department.

I’ve owned 4 birds over the last 30 years and a Kerry Green FB1 has been an almost mythical quest, I remember a thread recently asking if a Kerry was a fake or not. Anyway she’s here in the UK and I’m stunned. Out of the box (crikey it’s a big box), the set up is great, low action and near perfect intonation, I also love the finish and the fact that it’s flush to the fingerboard with no binding. There is something about Firebirds that really connects the strings to the wood, the guitar is resonant and chimey, everything you’d expect. A couple of pictures for your enjoyment, it so great when you fulfill ambition, which I have, we never see birds like this in the UK, my only issue is now I need to thin the herd by 1, the dreaded 12 guitar maximum has been exceeded (again).

Glad it arrived safely... Looks very cool in that colour and possibly the only KG FB1 in the UK.

Play/enjoy in good health.

Gorgeous! Maybe invest in a set of good quality reproduction knobs like by Montreaux or such? Would add some vintage vibe! :applaude
