• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Get a nice leather backed non-slippery strap. That'll keep it hanging where you put it!

Firebird VII

I think this is the one with the 3 mini-humbuckers and the Vibrola. This guitar has the normal 3-way switch and dual volumes and tones.

Does anyone know how the switch and controls work since there are 3 pickups?

I had a '64 VII. Like all other Gibsons, up was for the neck only and down was for the bridge only. The middle position delivered the middle/bridge combo and sounded very Stratlike! :dude

I love FB's and Flying V's because they are the only guitars that don't look like navel ornaments on the Cookieman. I have a 76 RI FB V and just love it, great tones and a nice big neck.

Best Blues,
Cookie

put the strap button behind the neck, like others say, the balance will alter greatly. Be careful who you let play it!
