Hello everyone. I'm Jeremy from South Texas. I have been playing the guitar for a total of 18 days. It all started after a bad accident at work. A 17 year old driver failed to stop at an intersection and struck our work vehicle. I was riding in the front passenger seat. Thankfully, we all survived the accident. I will be going to rehab and recovering at home until the doctor clears me to return to work. So, I really needed something to do that would keep my mind off of the pain. Learning the guitar seemed like a good idea. The only guitar that I knew anything about was the Gibson Les Paul. So, I walked into my local Guitar Center and found a beautiful Les Paul Standard '60's Limited-Edition Honey Lemon Burst. I figured if I can't learn to play it at least I can look at it. The sales associate didn't believe that this Les Paul would be my very first guitar. It took him a few seconds to really believe me. He was super cool. I asked him to also recommend an amp for me. We walked over to a Boss Katana 50 watt gen 3 amp. I wish my wife looked at me the way he looked at that amp. So, I bought the amp too. I am on day 18 of an online 30 day beginner guitar program. I have learned so much already! This learning adventure has really been fun and therapeutic. The best part is that my wife loves this guitar. Wishing everyone the best. Thank you.

Welcome! That's a great rig. Awesome choices. Love the top on that Lester. And those Katanas are great amps full of many really nice sounds. More than once I've used them as backline playing with a full band. Both will serve you well!

What a horrific story. Very thankful that you all made it through unscathed for the most part.

Your guitar is lovely and I'll bet your amp is a nice compliment. Congrats, HNG&AD

Yes, I am very grateful that it was not any worse and we all lived to tell the tale. I’m not sure if finding this beautiful LP was divine providence or dumb luck? I just thought that all LP looked the same lol. I am learning a lot about LP’s now. The amp really impressed me too. One day I hope to play good enough to do this combo justice.

Maybe a bit of both, although I think I'd lean toward the former. No doubt you'll do it justice and you'll have a good time along the way while doing so.
